How Recipients are Chosen

The HolderWide Foundation was formed to honor and remember Blake & Jake and to help support individuals who have sustained serious, life altering injury while doing the kinds of desert things the boys loved to do. In an effort to honor what they loved, we have narrowly tailored our mission statement to support individuals who fit the criteria of being injured while engaging in off-road activities in the Southern California area.

We are connected with other agencies that support paralyzed and severely injured individuals and actively look for possible recipients to consider each year.  We are moved and heartbroken over every single family's story... Our decision is ultimately based on circumstances, need, and is covered in tons of prayer.

If you know of an individual that fits our mission statement, we invite you to submit information to us for consideration.  Choosing an individual each year is the biggest blessing to us and yet also the most heart wrenching and difficult task.  As our foundation grows each year we, hope to be able to support more than one individual for each season.  Your support will help us achieve that!

An act of evil took 12 lives including our boys.  Our goal is to "Overcome Evil with Good" and we pray that the HolderWide Ride event each year encourages our community to think outside of themselves and help support and encourage someone they may have never met who is in need.
Both boys were the first to answer the call at any hour from a friend needing help.  The HolderWide Ride is our way of continuing to answer that call and we can think of no better way to honor Blake and Jake than to cultivate a culture of help in our dessert community.
We thank you for being a part of it.
